Lisa is proud to be running for Seattle School Board Director, Position 2, representing District 2, which covers Wallingford, Fremont, Phinney Ridge, Greenwood, Green Lake and parts of Roosevelt/Ravenna, Northgate, Maple Leaf, and the University District. A proven leader and problem solver, Lisa looks forward to being a Director who listens attentively, acts with purpose and builds the bridges necessary to have a school board that works for everyone. Whether it’s raising her three children, volunteering in the community, or serving on a PTSA board, Lisa is genuine, dedicated and vigilant; qualities she hopes to bring to the Seattle School Board, where she will be a champion for the entire community.
Lisa was the first person in her family to attend college, earning a Bachelors degree in Journalism (News Editorial), and a Minor in Ethics, from California State University, Chico. She served as an editor on the university’s award-winning student newspaper, and was awarded the CSU, Chico Presidential Medal for Contribution to Student Life. After working for the Seattle Times and other papers in California, Lisa has dedicated her time to her family, and a myriad of educational, environmental and social justice causes.
